WHERE?        Plaza Elementary School, 7322 County Road 24, Orland

WHO?             Any 4-H member.

HOW?             Online registration at:

                        Online registration only. Registration deadline is Monday, December 18, 2017. No late registrations will be allowed. No day-of registration will be allowed. Please register in the appropriate time slot. Only 4-H youth participants will be allowed in contest room. Participants may compete in a maximum of three species, but only one per time slot.

WHAT IS IT? The Livestock Challenge is an opportunity for members to demonstrate their livestock knowledge.  This will not be a quiz bowl as in years past. Members will rotate through different stations and answer questions related to the species selected.

                     *Questions are taken from the Livestock Challenge & Livestock Judging Study Guides. Additionally, members should be familiar with feeds & feed tags, parts of the animal, showmanship and conformation. You may explore and study additional resources too!

                     *Any 4-H member can enter, Junior Division thru Senior Division (by December 31, 2017). Primary members can participate in the PRIMARY ONLY at 12:00 p.m. in either the Avian, Dog, Rabbit, Cavy, and Pygmy Goat categories.     

AWARDS?     Award for the top winner in each species!
