How old do I have to be to join 4-H?
The Glenn County 4-H Program is open to youth currently enrolled in grades Kindergarten through 12th grade or ages 5 years old to 19 years old by December 31st of the program year.
How much does it cost to join 4-H?
Currently the Youth Member fee is $40.00. Some projects may require an investment to get started.
I don't live on a ranch or farm, can I still join 4-H?
If you live in a town or city, you can participate in 4-H activities with pets & small animals, rocketry, foods & nutrition, mini gardens, photography, woodworking, robotics, leadership, and much, much more!
What will I do in 4-H?
4-H members choose projects that interest them. You attend meetings, participate in new learning experiences, and may be involved in making presentations and community services projects. You may also want to participate in 4-H camps, the county fair, or take a trip to other states and countries.
4-H Youth Enrollment
Be sure to complete the online registration and pay your enrollment fee to the UCCE Office (please make checks payable to the Glenn County 4-H Council) by the 2nd Monday in October in order to be eligible to exhibit at the fair for the current year. Youth may enroll at any time during the year to participate in a project, but may not be eligible to show at fair.
Complete the steps below to enroll a youth member.
1.Log onto 4-H Online
2.Update profile (only create a new family profile if you are new to 4-H).
1.Review and acknowledge all forms on the Additional Information tab (including Waiver of Liability and Code of Conduct).
2.Print out the Medical Release, Health History form, and the signed code-of-conduct forms. Give both forms to the UCCE Office.
3.Where to take your 4-H fees? Make checks payable to the Glenn County 4-H Council and take your payment along with your forms to the UCCE Office.
