The Livestock Challenge is an opportunity for members to demonstrate their livestock knowledge. Members will rotate through different stations and answer questions related to the species selected.
Questions are taken from the Livestock Challenge and the Livestock Judging Study Guides as well as online website resources listed below. Additionally, members should be familiar with feeds and nutrition, feed tags, parts of the animal, showmanship, show prep and conformation. How to Participate
The registration deadline is Monday, April 12, 2021 at the link above. Online registration only. Please register in the appropriate time slot. Only 4-H youth participants will be allowed in the contest area. Participants may compete in more than one species, but only one per time slot.
Sessions are as follows. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
9:00 a.m. Sheep, Swine and Goats
9:30 a.m. Sheep, Swine and Goats
10:00 a.m. Dairy, Swine and Dairy Goats
10:30 a.m. Dairy, Horse and Beef
11:00 a.m. Rabbits, Avian and Dog
11:30 a.m. Rabbits, Pygmy Goat
12:00 p.m. Primary Members
