Event Information

The Livestock Field Day is an opportunity for youth to learn basic project knowledge, how to evaluate each species, for selection, and how to give reasons. Participants will be assigned a group and rotate through each species. The species the youth will be evaluating are: avian, beef, dairy, pygmy goats, market goat, rabbits, sheep, and swine. Primary members will have a rotation of all species but only be able to evaluate on primary species. Pygmy Goats, Avian, and Rabbits. Once youth have rotated through each species, they will then choose one to give reasons on.

All 4-H members are encouraged to participate. This event meets the requirements outlined in the Glenn County 4-H Fair Exhibition Requirements for the Livestock Exhibitors for the 2023-2024 4-H program year.
