Glenn County 4-H Summer Camp Applications Available Now!
The Glenn County 4-H Youth Development Program sponsors a resident youth summer camp every year for youth, ages 9-13 as of December 31, 2023. 4-H members ages 5-8, as of December 31, 2023, are allowed to attend camp with their parent chaperone present for the duration of Camp. (Current 4-H membership is not required, but you will need to enroll in 4-H before camp.) This year’s camp is scheduled for Thursday, June 20, 2024, through Sunday, June 23, 2024, reports Christine Kampmann, Glenn County 4-H Community Education Specialist.
We are looking for more youth and adult volunteers who are interested in the outdoors, making friends, and having fun this summer! The cost is $100.00 per person for campers. Participants will need to be enrolled in 4-H to attend. Enrollment fees are $80.00. Fee waivers are also available! We can continue to keep camp fees low, thanks to the Tractor Supply Paper Clover Campaign, as well as a generous donation received from AltaCal Audobon Society for youth who may need assistance. The camper application deadline is Monday, May 6, 2024, and are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. For those adults willing to attend as staff (with duties and responsibilities), the cost is $50.00 and covers food and a camp t-shirt.
