The Payroll Analyst uses skills as a seasoned, experienced, payroll professional with a full understanding of industry practices and organizational policies and procedures to regularly work on highly complex issues where analysis of data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Prepares payroll reports for senior management. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. Identifies risks and responds accordingly. May serve as a lead within the department. May serve as subject matter expert or project manager. Responsible for facilitating the processing of all types of off-cycle payroll. Recommends and establishes updates to business processes and procedures. Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Utilizes contacts within the payroll office and across the organization and UC System. This position reports to the Payroll Manager and supports BOC Director and BOC Leadership Team. It is imperative that this position be able to provide excellent customer service to all of the UC ANR Population.
This position is a career appointment that is 100% fixed.
Pay Scale:
- Payroll Analyst 3: $56,800/yr. to $78,000/yr.
- Payroll Analyst 4: $68,400/yr. to $96,200/yr.
