DONATIONS NEEDED FOR GLENN COUNTY
4-H SUMMER CAMP
The Glenn County 4-H Youth Development Program sponsors a resident youth summer camp every year for youth, ages 9-13. This year’s camp is scheduled for Thursday, June 228th, through Sunday, July 1st, reports Alyssa Perry, 4-H Program Representative. The camp facilities are located at Mt. Lassen Camp in the Lassen National Forest near Mill Creek, California. The average participation is about 80-100 campers from Glenn County each year. The camp is staffed by 4-H personnel, volunteer adult leaders and high school age camp counselors. The 4-H Camp is a rustic camp with the philosophy of providing an exciting outdoor educational experience to as many youth as possible. The goal of the Glenn County 4-H Camp program is to provide youth an opportunity for growth and development in mental, physical, social and leadership skills.
Glenn County 4-H Camp needs of donations of meat, fruit, vegetables, canned goods, fishing polls, equipment & tackle, etc. There are many fun activities at camp which include: outdoor cooking, archery, fort building, fishing, outdoor recreation, crafts, dance, tie-dye, discovery through science, card and board games and many more fun activities.
