GLENN COUNTY 4-H TO HOST 1ST ANNUAL VIRTUAL SHOWCASE FOR 4-H MEMBERS & THEIR PROJECTS
To support the 4-H youth during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Glenn County 4-H program, part of the UC Cooperative Extension in Glenn County, has created a NEW Virtual Showcase to put all 4-H members projects on display that they are unable to showcase this year during the Glenn County Fair, due to the recent cancellation of the fair. 4-H members are asked to submit 2-3 photos with a short paragraph about their projects or short video and prepared talk to the UCCE Office where all the submissions received will be posted on the Glenn County 4-H website at http://ceglenn.ucanr.edu/Glenn_County_4-H_Program_286/ along with Glenn County 4-H social media.
The goal is to give the youth the opportunity to showcase their projects they have worked on all year long, including livestock, animals, arts and crafts, clothing and textiles, quilting, photography, and cupcake decorating, to name a few. Entrants will have an opportunity to be evaluated on their projects if they choose or just showcase their projects for families and the community to see.
Submissions will be received every week until Friday, May 15, 2020 via email (glenncounty4h@ucanr.edu), phone (530-865-1107) or the online registration link at http://ceglenn.ucanr.edu/Glenn_County_4-H_Program_286/County_Events/Virtual_Showcase/.
