Introduction to the Event:

The Bowl-A-Thon is a fun-filled event that welcomes participation from youth, adults, and businesses (you do not need to be in 4-H to participate). Don’t hesitate in joining in on the extra fun by dressing up to this year’s theme, “Rock and Roll.” It is not a requirement to dress up. All proceeds support from the Glenn County 4-H Bowl-A-Thon support Glenn County 4-H Scholarships that are awarded each year through an application and interview process.

 

Who?

This event is open to everyone in and outside of 4-H.

 

When?

Saturday, November 2, 2024, Session 1: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and Session 2: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.  Please arrive 15 minutes early with your completed forms and collected donations to receive your lane assignments.

 

Where?

Orland Bowl, located at 507 W. Monterey St., Orland

 

How?

Register to participate in the event by completing the Bowler Registration Form and turn in to the UCCE Office, email the form to: glenncounty4h@ucanr.edu, complete the registration survey link, by visiting: https://surveys.ucanr.edu/survey.cfm?surveynumber=43621, or by calling (530) 865-1107. You can also register by scanning the QR Code.

 

What to Expect?

When registering for the event, you will register as an individual and have the opportunity to list the participants you would like to bowl with in your lane, or register as a team of five. The UCCE Office will do its best to satisfy the requests. When you check in at Orland Bowl, you will turn in your pledges/donations and be given your lane assignment. Score sheets will be collected at the end of the bowling session, and awards will be given out.

 

Awards and Recognition:

Primary Members participating in the Bowl-A-Thon will receive a participation certificate. Certificates and prizes will be awarded for Top Pledge Collector Individual, Top Pledge Collector Team, and Best Rock and Roll Dressed. Additional awards and certificates may be given at this event.
